Slow down.
Have you ever tried to be everything for everyone? Have you ever followed every single health trend to be the ‘healthiest version’ of yourself, only to stress yourself into worse habits? Have you ever tried to be someone you’re not just to fit in?
Well, I’m here to tell you to just stop, slow down for a minute, and understand that you are doing way too much.
I want you to take a few minutes to just get in touch with yourself. Journal, pray, meditate, or just simply close your eyes and take a silent moment. Think about what YOU truly desire, not what you think you should desire. What do you actually want? What feels easy, right, and natural to you. You know, I once heard someone say that all those big ideas you have, every dream you’ve ever had, was put into your mind for a reason. You wouldn’t have those dreams if you weren’t capable of achieving them.
Once you’ve spent some time dwelling on what it is that you truly want out of this beautiful life you’ve been given, cancel out the noise and focus on making your dreams come true.
Don’t compare your life to anyone else’s. Comparison is the thief of joy. Find pleasure in the simple and ordinary. Stay in your own lane and work towards the dreams that God put in your gorgeous, wonderful brain.
